Mophie Juice Pack Air Case and Rechargeable Battery for iPhone 3G, 3G S (Black)

I bought this originally for the outrageous price of $90, but thought it would be worth it if it got me through a full day of heavy use on my iPhone. The first case worked for about 3 weeks and then stopped working (the case would hold a charge, but not transfer any charge to my iPhone). I returned it (in the same box as my roomates, whose mophie also stopped working at the same time) and received a new one, no questions asked, which is nice. But the new one barely works at all. It extends the life of my iPhone battery for an hour or two but doesn't charge the phone, and it doesn't seem to work if my phone battery drops too low. For example, if my phone is at 20%, I attach the case and where I would normally only have maybe 30 min of talk time, the mophie gets me 60 minutes, but then the phone dies, even though the mophie power meter says it has juice left. This has been a very disappointing product.

Its a great product - am not sure why so many people have given negative reviews about it. Have used NewTrent battery extender before, but liked this a lot better.

Pros: 1) the slimmest battery extender out there, Newtrent was so thick and big. This is much slimmer and easy to fit in the pocket.

2) Looks: very stylish, looks nice in hand. Best looking among others.

3) On / off switch: This is the best thing - you can choose whether to charge or not to charge ur phone. In newtrent if the phone was in the case it had to be charged. In mophie, u charge only when u need it.

Cons:

The only con of the product was the unique cable by which it can be charged. So if u lose the cable - u gotto buy a new one.

Overall, an excellent product - really happy with it.

I have bought quite a few stuff on Amazon but this is the worst experience so far.

Three pairs of earphone sets really amazed me. But one of them was out of order after 3 weeks of use. So I opened a second one. This one does not have a working remote/mic. So was totally useless. Not sure about the third one so far, but please stay away from this if you are looking for an accessory that can last longer.
A great backup for the iphone 3GS (2010-08-17) : 5/5
I looked at every available backup battery option for the iPhone. I tried one that clips into the bottom of the phone but it was very uncomfortable to use with the phone and very fragile. Then I found the Mophie Juice Pack Air.

I have been using for about a month now and I think it is the ultimate solution. It works exactly as described and gives me, in standby mode, two completely charged batteries for a hard days usage. When my iPhone battery is depleted I simply throw the switch and the Juice Pack gives me many more hours of use.

The Juice Pac fits the phone so well, I just leave the phone in it all the time. Though it adds some bulk to the phone I have not found that a problem. I even like the extra size and weight it adds. (Though this is minimal.)It actually is not much bigger than the iPhone 4. I have not had to use my car charger since I got the Juice Pack.

You can charge/sync the phone while it is in the Juice Pack. And it will work in the standard Apple AC wall plug.

This is a must have for anyone whose iPhone 3G or GS will not make it through the day.

So I bought this from SLK Wireless. They said the condition was new. When I took it out of the shipping bag to find the Mophie box, i noticed the little circular, sticky seal at the bottom was broken. Also, the little tab keeping the box from being opened was also broken. Then I got to the Mophie itself and noticed a small scratch and smudge on the case, nothing major, but made me think it wasn't really "new." Maybe it was a returned item, maybe the seller was just checking to make sure everything was in the box, I don't know. But the seal was broken and there was some minor things on the case itself. None of these things seem to have hindered the performance of the Mophie so far. It works like it should, it's just strange because it seems like it was already opened. But on the plus side, SLK Wireless was the cheapest seller :)
